John and I combined our trip to Walhalla with a Victorian Hillclimb Championship (VHC) event at the Haunted Hills circuit behind Moe. Quoted below is an excerpt from the News section of the VHC website:
An eager team of hardworking Mini Club officials ensured that the event started on time and quickly dealt with any hiccups that occurred. This allowed competitors to do 3 competition runs on the Saturday afternoon and 5 runs on the Sunday.
A good field of 81 attended the event, although the organisers expected a few entries from interstate to buffer the field as the figure 8 track configuration is the same that will be used at the upcoming Australian Hillclimb Championship.
At the fast end of the field Brett Hayward & Greg Ackland fought it out all weekend. Greg eventually just piping Brett with a fastest time of 53.75 seconds.
